On September 22, 2019, members of the University of Georgia's Franklin Residential College visited the historic Gospel Pilgrim Cemetery. Students removed leaves, cleared branches, and trimmed shrubbery to restore the local cemetery. In the process, they learn about its history and significance to the Athens community.
